Tourist Facilities
Chad Basin National Park has facilities for the tourists maximum comfort at Dagona Base Camp and in the near future at Gulumba Base Camp. At Dagona Base Camp, tourists’ facilities that exist include excellent accommodation and catering services on request. There is a Birds watching hide for photographic and enumeration purposes at the Water Fowl Sanctuary which is about 3km away from the camp. Video recording, communal fishing festival at the Gogoram village; visit to Baturiya Wetland Reserve and cruise on Dabarmagini lake near Nguru can also be arranged.
There is an amusement garden at Dagona Base Camp that provides a quiet and serene atmosphere for relaxation. The beauty of the garden has been enhanced by the different species of birds that have been attracted to the garden.
Adventure Tourism
 Horse Riding
Tourists to Chad Basin National Park can avail themselves of an adventure experience. The diverse natural eco-systems of the Park also provide for adventurous tourism. Tourists can participate in sand dunes walk, climbing and picnic. The famous camel or horse riding in the Sahara, sport fishing at Dagona Ox bow Lake, Nature trails in the Oases, birds count at Baturiya Wetlands, and boating on Lake Nguru, etc.

Tourists’ accommodation is available at Dagona Base Camp for maximum relaxation. This facility has been provided in a modest form with necessary facilities such as air conditioners, refrigerators, televisions connected to satellite stations.
Catering
The Park through its professional hospitality staff has been attending graciously to all the catering needs of the tourists. The Park offer both local and continental dishes to tourist on request.
When to Visit
The best time of the year to visit the Park is December through June when visibility is good and the Park generally accessible.
Cuisines
In every society, there are common meals associated with the people. Common but special meals in the area include Sinasir (from rice flour), Burabusco (wheat meal), Dandaru (goat meat barbecue), Dalai (from millet flour) and Margi special (fish and vegetable). These are enjoyable dishes one may not want to miss when on a visit to the area.
