The Pride of our Natural Heritage.
INTRODUCTION
Okomu National Park “the pride of our natural heritage” is one of the seven National Parks in Nigeria. The park is a rainforest ecosystem gazetted from the former Okomu forest reserve in 1935. Today the park is habitat for numerous endangered flora and fauna species.

SIZE AND LOCATION:
Covers a land mass area of appropriately 200km2 making it the smallest of the seven National Park. It is located in Ovia Southwest Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria and lies between north latitudes 6o15` and 6o25` and east longitude 5o9` and 5o23`.It is bounded by Okomu river in the west and series of straight cuttings in east and south

WARNING AND ADVICE
Visitors are kindly advised to observe all park rules and regulations for their personal comfort safety and security and those of the wildlife too. The management would like to remind visitors that it is an offence:
  • To move in the park without a guide
  • To keep away from jeep track and natural trails
  • To hunt or remove any plant in the park
  • To over speed and make unnecessary noise in park
  • To contaminate the pristine areas covered by park
