Flora
The entire Park lies in the southern part of the southern Guinea Savanna. Several Botanists have classified the vegetation in the Park in different ways, but generally there are four sub-types.

Kob ( Kobus kob)
These consist of dense woodland and forest outliers in the Southeastern part, mixed open savanna woodland in the central part; out crop vegetation in the northeast and riparian grassland and fringing woodland occupying the forest plains and valleys along the Ogun River Some floral species in the Park include; Burkea Africana, Vitaleria Faradoxum, Combretum molle, Terminalia glaucescens, Kigelia Africana, Hymenoccardia acida, Lophira lanceolata, Daniellia oliveri, Mytenus senegalenis, Parinari polyabdra, Uapaca togoensis, Afzelia Africana, Vitex doniana, Anogeissus leiocarpus, Parkia biglobosa, Lacanoidiscus cupanoides, Lannea schimperi, etc.
Fauna:
For a very long period in the past, the area has suffered indiscriminate human activities including hunting. As a result, animal species have been greatly depleted and some species have either become locally extinct or rare. Nevertheless, several large mammal species are still common. These include Western Kob, Roan Antelope, Western Hartebeest, Grimm’s Duiker, Oribi, Crested Porcupine, Anubis Baboon, Patas Monkey, Tantalus Monkey, Buffalo, Red River Hog, Spotted Hyena, Lion, etc. The Park is rich in both National and International migratory birds which could be watched by bird Watchers (tourists). Also abundant in the Park are Fishes, Reptiles, Butterflies, Ants, Mushroom, and Millipede etc.
